Our Initiatives

Through the application of holistic, global, and collaborative approaches, GCGCI has provided support to projects in various countries around the globe: Botswana, Africa, Guatemala, Central America and Mexico, Haiti and the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean, and the Appalachian area in the USA. Our initiative and partnerships have included the following:

• Distribution of grain provided by the US Government during a famine in Botswana in the 1960s

​

• Provided fire suppression services in the village of Maun, Botswana

​

• Assisted in the establishment of the Peace Corps program in Maun, Botswana, and became a

   participating member of the local Peace Corps Co-op

​

• Provided home economic classes and skills training to the residents in Maun, Botswana 

​

• Worked with Children International Lifeline, an organization whose mission is to feed and tend to the basic

   health needs of some of the poorest children in the world. We organized volunteer teams to package    and load

   semi-trucks with high Lysine corn for shipment to Haiti, and assisted with the food distribution in the country.

​

• Provided volunteers to assist in the construction of schools in Guatemala

​

• Provided volunteers to assist in building a health clinic in Honduras for World Gospel Mission

​

• Supplied all the needed dental equipment for a portable dental clinic for the Appalachian area of the USA in

   partnership with FAME, medical evangelism organization.

​

• Provided financial support to Silent Blessings, a ministry to the hearing impaired, Children of  Promise, a

   global child sponsorship organization. The H.E.A.R.T. Institute, a village hunger education and resource

   training organization.

​

• Provided medical equipment, including incubators to World Gospel Mission in Honduras, and Caring Partners 

   International, an organization whose mission   is to provide urgently needed medical supplies, materials,

   education, trained health care providers and front – line primary patient care around    the world.
